PRC / Ranger School packing list questions

Most of the items on these packing lists I've already gotten but I have some questions about a few of them. I'm sorry if some of these questions seem stupid, but I just want to make sure that everything is squared away before I get there and I don't want to get sent home over something as stupid as something wrong with the gear I bring. If anyone here could point me in the right direction on them I'd appreciate it.

Pre-Ranger

(5) Transparencies - are these just transparencies like we used to see in school on the projector? (except blank)

Ranger School

(2 each) Skin care lotion: (6-8 fl oz.) Free of alcohol and fragrance. - I've looked and found some that are free of fragrance but looking at the back of the bottles it seems that all of these lotions contain alcohol. Is there a certain brand that I can look for that has no alcohol and fragrance? I've looked online, but it keeps coming up with womens body lotions and shit.

(2 each) Camo Stick - Clothing and sales only had the compact version of this, but US Cavalry had the push tube (sticks) kind. The camo sticks weren't military issue, but came in O.D. Green metal tubes instead of the plastic ones. How strict are they on this? Will these ones that I bought do?

(1 each) Medical Alert Tags or bracelet - I assume if you have no allergies etc, these are not applicable, correct?

(4) Name Tape, Cloth (sew on, no velcro) - ACU's are the only authorized uniform for Pre-Ranger, so that's what I was bringing to Ranger School as well. Since ACU's are authorized on the 13 FEB Ranger School packing list, this is not applicable as well, correct?

(1) Luminous tape 1" x 12" strip - Clothing and sales only sold 1" x 6" strips of this, so I got two, is that acceptable?

(1) Sweatband, helmet liner, Kevlar - this is going to sound stupid (as I'm sure most of this has), but this is just talking about the sweatband liner itself, right? The old brain buckets are issued at Benning when I get there? (all we are issued now is the the MICH or the ACH)

Optional Items

(1 each) Status Cards (blank) - What are these? At first I thought it was just index cards, but I see that index cards are already listed on the packing list.


Also, I was originally planning on taking commericial air to Benning, but I'm starting to think driving my POV might be a better idea. I seem to remember cabs being ridiculously expensive at Benning and I see there is a fenced parking lot at Camp Rogers, but is there a lot available during PRC?

Status cards: You're shitting me right? Fucking 3x5 cards? Get here early and stop in at Commandos (fuck Ranger Joes) tell them you're looking for status cards.
One of the chicks there will square you away. Make sure they're blank (not filled out with duty position, sensitive items etc.)

Skin lotion: fuck it (Jesus!)

Luminous tape: Yeah...you're good (fuckwit)

Camo stick: You're good, just make sure you avoid the toothpatse-tube shit. Don't bring that shit.

Transparencies: Document protectors will do, it's for your fire-support over-lay.
