Keep an eye out for anything new you have introduced into your regimen.
    Good luck.

Y'know, I thought it was just me like that. Never in my life have I had any allergies. Since I moved down here, my sinuses act up incessantly, especially when the mold count is high. I even get a hellatious cough in early spring every year.

I say all the time that I'm allergic to Texas.

I agree with Feet, Bell. It sounds like an environmental allergy. Have you started using anything new in your garden or yard? Those would be the first places I'd look, considering the areas swelling up. I'd think about checking to see if anything has been added to the water in your area, too.

Times I've traveled from Houston to Austin have triggered allergies.

    Bell,

What you are going to need to do is research on your own. Keep a log and especially note what you ate 2-3 days before the break out.

Also look for any types of mold that may have gotten into your living area. You may just keep getting reinfected.

The third thing is that you live out in the country. Find out if there has been a notable increase in the amounts of pests including but not limited to rats, mice, spiders, mosquitoes and other vermin.

Sorry to hear it is bothering you. I hope you feel better.

I agree here, the journal is one of the most important tools you have of finding out what you are allergic to. It can happen at anytime because of almost anything.

I would also suggest a ear and tounge (SP) diagnosis by a really good doctor that does accupuncture (this is not a joke either). All the major organs can be seen at specific points in the ear. If the tongue is grey or red in a perticular region, it is a sign of something not balanced.

I am currently working with a Doctor in Germany in reference to using accupuncture as a First Responder. If you have any questions PM me and I will forward you the info.

I can ask a Doctor I know to look at the pictures and I will pay the diagnosis for you.

Either way its your choice. Just let me know what you decide.

I got rid of my Asthma through accupunture, I shit you not. Its the only thing that worked for me and thats why I can fly today. I went from two types of meds to none in a space of about 6 months. Many contracts also cover it for specific stuff like backaches, etc.

It doesnt however totally replace modern medicine though.

Auricular Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Diseases with Auricular Therapy

Auricular diagnosis is a supplementary diagnostic method of examining the external ear according to the basic theory of TCM and anatomical projection. Any disorder of the body may result in corresponding appearance on the auricle. The purpose of auricular diagnosis is to find various positive reflecting indications, such as color change, sensitive points, substantial mass and electrical resistance changes occurring on any part of the ear's surface. These changes help identify the disease's location and nature.

Nearly 100 common diseases treated with auricular therapy including: Acne, Appendicitis, Bronchial Asthma, Bronchitis, Cataract, Coronary Heart Disease, Diabetes Mellitus, Epilepsy, Female Infertility, Gastric and Duodenal Ulcers, Glaucoma, Headache, Hypertension, Insomnia, Menopause Syndrome, Migraine, Pneumonia, Psoriasis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Simple Obesity, Smoking Habit, Sprain and Contusion, The Common Cold, Tinnitus, Tonsillitis, Ulcerative Colitis, Ureteral Stones, Uterine Bleeding, Whooping Cough, and much more.

    Applied Accupuncture

More than 100 kinds of disease in over 200 cases are detailed, including: Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otozhinolarynology and Dermatology.

The description of each disease involves clinical manifestations, treatments and remarks. Clinical manifestation: the chief clinical symptoms and signs. Treatment: the prescription of acupuncture points, acupuncture manipulations, and some clinical cases. Remarks: selecting points and manipulations according to the clinical feature, brief introduction of some clinical experiences and some recent important advances in acupuncture. All of the diseases presented are named with the terms of modern medicine and, for the sake of contrast, Chinese medical traditional terms are also given in the remark.

The last section is the concept of Bu (reforcing) and Xie (reducing) and their manipulation methods. This is intended to provide a reference for the medical workers in their clinical practice and may also help to broaden patients' understanding.

    Introduction

    Richard A. Feely, DO

Ear PictureAuriculotherapy is a therapeutic intervention in which the auricle of the external ear is utilized to alleviate pain, dysfunction and disease as represented and manifest throughout the body.

The auricle of the ear is a complete Microsystem of the human body. All vertebra, sympathetic/parasympathetic nerves, spinal nerves, visceral organs and the central nervous system, and including all anatomical sites and many functional points are represented on the ear. They total over 200 specific acupuncture points.

While originally based upon the ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture, the somatic tropic correspondence of specific parts of the body to specific parts of the ear was first developed in France by Dr. Paul Nogier.

Damn Mike. That's a generous offer and you've been more than helpful. Thanks a ton and I'll take a look at all that.

I was hoping there was an allergist or medical official with allergy experience. Like I said, there's more to the story about how this thing got started and I've got a bunch of questions.

Any workman comp lawyers around here?

I took Business Law with my BS.

You could have gotten this based on a shock to your system, we come into contact with alot of things. Even from some of the shots, but that is rare.

Your comment gives me the impression that you worked with certain things that may have been a cause of this.

PM me if you want as I dont think this should be discussed online.

The offer stands, just let me know if I can help.

to the guy with the swollen finger and lip, Where did you deploy out of country? I know Bn goes places. A lot of guys got dermatitis (swelling of the skin) after deploying to hot places like central america. If Benadryl sucks for you, try a Medrol does pack from Pfizer, NOT THE GENERIC BRAND. It's a steroid used for Poison Ivy and stuff. What part of the country are you from and what part of the country are you in now? i.e. Georgia gives me diarrhea...LoL

Jesus, man. He was having the allergy problem two years ago. If it hasn't been solved by now, it probably isn't going to be.
