I have suffering with this from July. I refuse to go back to the foot and ankle Dr. due to having paid them about $600 this year for another foot problem.
Has any one have had this before and how long before it goes away? I was running with it all July 2-3 times a week 2-3 miles. I have not ran all of Aug., Was told by a trainer at the gum to stay away from running for a while, thats when I decided to take Aug off from running.
It is feeling better and mostly hurts when I wake up. The pain is almost gone and feels like I should be able to start more cardo soon. I did start the riding the stationalry bike at the gym last week.
The most common cause of arch pain is plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is the name that describes inflammation of the fibrous band of tissue that connects the heel to the toes. Symptoms of plantar fasciitis include pain early in the morning and pain with long walks or prolonged standing.
Arch pain early in the morning is due to the plantar fascia becoming contracted and tight as you sleep through the night. When awakening and walking in the morning, the fascia is still tight and prone to irritation when stretched. When walking or standing for long periods, the plantar fascia becomes inflamed and painful.
