    There was no 2nd BN 508th at that time. We had air land reinforcements the next day but they were from every unit in the brigade.

    That is excellent information. Most people think the Nazi's were the first to use Paratroopers as a Military force in an armed conflict. But it was indeed the Ruskies. They were dropped during an armed Civil uprising in Russia.
