Well, I've got a new bunk at HHC. Failed pushups. I'm no PT stud, but I know I can do 42 pushups. Kind of really pissed off now. I think they failed about 30 people on pushups and I think 4 failed the run. I heard about what FO2325 said from my buddies that went to alpha a week before me. My fault though, if I was a PT stud, it'd be harder to fail me. Nothing I can really do now, I'm stuck at HHC until I get new orders cut. I'm really not sure what I want to do now, everything I wanted to do was dependent on finishing BAC. Suck it up and drive on I guess. They've been sending almost all of the 11Bs from HHC to cambell though, so hopefully I'll get sent there. If I'm going to have to be in a leg unit, I guess thats a pretty good one.

Anyway, I've got to get back to HHC, I had 24 duty yesterday, so I came down to get a bite at subway.

First off, I have many friends who are Blackhats, currently serving at the BAC. I know for a fact that there is no such thing as over-booking the course. They are set up to be able to handle everyone who shows up for the course. There is no quota that they have to reach in order to whittle down the class to an acceptable size.

All that logic is pure bullshit. Its just an excuse for people who failed in order to rationalize their inability to meet the standard.

I feel bad for you. Not because you didnt make it. I feel bad because you failed to realize that the standard needs to be met or else you will be let go.

Dont start your military career off by blaming others for your inability to meet the standard. If you rationalize that the blackhats failed you because they needed to make the class size fit a certain number, then you will do this for every obstacle you meet in the military.

I have failed some schools in the military. The difference is that I blamed myself purely for not meeting the standard. I picked my sorry ass up and went back, studied hard, worked my ass off, and then met the standard.

Dont let this failure define you or what you become. You need to pick yourself up, get in the gym, and work your ass off. Dont go to your new unit with the attitude that the Blackhats fucked you. You will get pegged as a shitbag. I hate when the guys who failed schools would show up to my platoon with a chip on their shoulder. I dont think this is going to be you. Just go to your unit and start fresh.

I hate to disagree with you IJ , but I had a very close friend of mine who NEVER scored less than a 270 on the APFT get recycled on the push-ups. He was sent from D Co. to C Co. and then passed the push-up event and serves with me now in Group as a paratrooper. I will say that he got fucked in BAC for one reason or another.........
