    Default CptMikeg Intro

    Gentlemen

Some of you know me as Cpt Mike at Mil.com others as one of the admins from USMILNET

I am not an ego pusher nor do I care to be on. I support 7 units currently deployed in Iraq. Previous MOS 13A00 and last unit 122FA.

I take care of multiple branches and need help sending letters, packages and (from Cpt Baer CO ---> Sir,

I appreciate your support and interest. First, I want to state up front that in no way, shape, or form do I want people to buy new scopes for us. A used Simmons 3x9 hunting scope is perfectly good for our needs. We are in the middle of Baghdad, we aren't going to shoot more than 400m anyway. I am not asking, nor would I ever ask, for ACOGs or EOtechs or anything like that. We have tried using the supply system but it has failed us continually, and besides there aren't any scopes with NSNs anyway. Let people know that I will personally repay the postage for anything sent over here if they want me to. Thank you for your efforts.

I need 2 scopes ASAP if you have any used ones let me know here or on usmilnet.

...and I told David like hell will he pay postage for the scopes..

Thanks and God Bless you all.

    Welcome to the dropzone Sir.

I am sorry that the army supply system has failed you and your men. I truly hope that you are able to gather some better stuff. In many units, I have noticed that Senior Leaders who work at BN or BDE Levels seemed to hoard all of the acogs and other cool guy gear. To me and others it was absolutely retarded to see a Senior Leader having stuff like that when their trigger pullers were using iron sights or just M68's.

I recommend that you take a hard look at the MAL lists in your brigade and try to scrub it. Take all of the cool guy gear away from those who are in the rear and redistro it to the men who need it.

    Welcome to AP.org Captain.

Wish I could help with your situation, but I seem to be fresh out of scopes. I know, shameful for a paratrooper to admit, but such is life.

Don't forget to grab an avatar! You don't want that pink crap next to your name anyhow.

Welcome to the site and thank you for what you and your men are doing over there in the sandbox. Does anyone know if this is the item CPT Mike is looking for? I would be most happy to send one but want to make sure I have the right item. Thanks. :D

Default New Frago for the Cpt

    NEW FRAGO!!!!

The CPT needs our help with banners to motivate!!!!

    Please Help!

)Here the letter to me tonight...

    Mr. Goedeker,

Thank you so much for your support. All of us are thrilled to recieve this much attention. I was thinking about what the guys might want, I know this might sound silly, but I think that two or three banners signed by people would be great. We can hang them up and the guys will be able to see the personal messages each time they come in off of a patrol. These kinds of things pay big dividends with morale. It is also something that is from people "back home". Our chaplain does a real good job with guys having birthdays and things like that. I really can't think of anything else. We have a PX here, and I don't like the guys to have to much candy or pogie bait. We don't have time to do decent PT. Once it gets hot, watching your weight won't be a problem as just putting on all of our gear will create your own personal sauna. Thank you again for your personal attention and support. It means a great deal to all of us over here.

    Default Welcome aboard Mike

Sorry to hear a fine graduate of the Benning School for Boys has to spend his days with a bunch of DATs.

I presume the Cup & Flower fund already became the Scope & Bodyarmor fund.

Good luck with the scopes.... my shit already got sent to some boys in the '05 in Afghanistan.
