Why would it be tacky for chicks to have them?
Comments that have been told to me in the past when the subject has been brought up... there's always this image of being "prim and proper;" not to mention all the negative associations "Tramp stamp" and such...

I really don't think it is but there's many who would perceive it as such.

Of course, I suppose it's only tacky if you go around showing it off if it's in an inappropriate place... so if I got the one on my lower back, that would be a no go; however the one on my shoulder would be acceptable.

The thing about ink is that you shouldn't do it for someone else or what they think.

Personally, I abhor tramp stamps and won't have one. But if it's someone else's thing and they like it, more power to them.

And don't get cheap ink; you get what you pay for.

Look...I'm not gonna say it, but someone on here is eventually gonna ask to see a pic of the area you are thinking of putting the future tattoo on. Be prepared.

By the way...Too much ink for me to be a spy. Think about it.....

Why does everybody (in public) talk about the "negative associations"? Why is it no one talks about the positive association?

You could always put "Embrace It" on your lower back.

I would look at that as a lawful order.

    Ma'am.

Ma'am, I once worked with a young female Captain who had a Kokopelli tat. It didn't show when she was in uniform (the only way I saw it was when we were swimming for PT, but that's another story ).

She is now a LTC and will take BN Command sometime this year so I am pretty sure it did not slow down her career at all. I think discretion is the key here.

And like ROS said, you get what you pay for, so find a good artist and have it done right.
