Pretty nice.
Both of my sons have said they wanted me to go get a tatt with them. They both said they'd pay for me to get jump wings.

So far I've said no. I'm 46 years old and haven't been active duty in years.
I wish I would have gotten wings done while at Bragg, but didn't. I would like to get them now...but somehow, it seems kinda weird.

BTW...I like the way Yeoman got his wings on the inside of his forearm.

My advise - go get it done. Like me, you missed out once (for whatever reason), don't pass up the chance again - especially if it's gonna be paid for by someone else

got the classic pegasus with bellerophon ala the sixth british airborne patch style. black outline with a maroon lining as well.
got it on the right shoulder blade. I was quite suprised how much it can hurt getting stuff around the spine. screw getting the unit motto down the spine then ugh.
actually met the artist a few days before at the bar, it was his bday. so I got him loaded, told me to come in when he was workin and he'd knock a few bucks off.
not complaining that I paid 80 for a 120 tattoo.

I was in the same boat, me and one of my buddies went to "Smoking Guns" in Fayetteville decided what we were going to get and were going back on payday. We got sent to Miami for Hurricane Andrew and never got around to getting our tats. I had our SWAT Team tat once I had engough time on the team to rate one. I was going to get a skydive tattoo since that is the kind of jumping I do now but I finally decided a year ago I needed my Jump Wings (or maybe they are my Dad's or my Grandfather's we are all Airborne). Glad I got them done, I stole Cal's idea except mine says "tradition of the family" in Irish Gaelic.

I've often thought about getting one but it's always a matter of what to get, where to get it and why to get one. I've been in and around enough places to get a tat but if I get one then I'll get more as it probably wouldn't be enough and I'd end up with sleeves on both arms. It's about the symmetry.........

I had a roommate in college that believed pierced his "male anatomy" himself. It wasn't a Prince Albert rather it was a full bar right through the center. He would go out to bars and guys would be bragging to chicks that they had their dick pierced. He would walk up call them a pussy and have them whip it out. They would. Got one on each arm. The first one I got in basic and it is a 'Hot Stuff' devil. I got it because my dad got his when he was in the Marines and as long as I could remember I wanted a tat like my dad.

Second one I got was about 10 years ago and it's an eagle with an American Flag 'Wing' behind the head. Pretty cool .... glad it is the RIGHT wing!!!

I want to get more but as someone said up above .... I don't really want to get something I can't cover, doesn't look good in my line of work.

Hey Jack! Let me know when you are ready for one Bro and I'll go with ya!! I'm about ready for my third or even a cover of the eagle. I'm not as attached to it and have seen some stuff I think would cover it just fine.

I got 2. Fathers/my family crest on the left side of my chest, mothers family crest on the right. Ya, they kinda hurt but not too bad. My buddy dangled a sharp knife over my gut while I was getting my first one to take my mind off the pain... how nice of him.
