Re: Random Thought of the Day
The Phrase...Daffy Duck's Hemorrhoidal Ointment entered my mind today. The thought of what DD sounded like while experiencing said hemorrhoids with his Classic Woo-woo-woo- etc.isn't leaving either. Later, some TV commercial for some loathsome buffet came out - that I had tried once, Once - and the phrase The food smelled and tasted like Daffy Duck's Hemorrhoidal Ointment onceagainentered my mind.
The weekend cannot come fast enough.![]()
Gotta be more to life than this. This is what I fought for?
I'm out of beer![]()

My daughter is staying with me this week because her boyfriend is at drill (Marine reserves) - they have deposited all of their beer in my fridge - so much so I can't get my groceries in there - I had to take it out and put it in the cooler! (at least the equivalent of a case - but crappy beer)

"When liberty is taken away by force it can be restored by force. When it is relinquished voluntarily by default it can never be recovered." - Dorothy Thompson
Paradoxical Quote of The Day From Ben Stein: "Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen." Now add this, "Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens."
You should have just set it out on the porch with a clear message that if they need that much cold beer, they have to put it in their own cooler, not the fridge. The idea that you come into your parent's house and "take over" their appliances is nonsense.
BTW, by the time my kids were old enough to drink beer, they were old enough to have their own place to live.
We were the kids who would jump off a bridge if our friends did it.
They do have their own place, they live in OK, she just didn't want to stay home alone while he was gone on drill so he brought her "home" to me...not that she's been here much, she's been hanging with one friend or another - I'm just babysitting their beer, I guess- so, p-chop, come on over, I figure possession is 9/10ths of the law LOL.
I'm actually the one that stuck it in the fridge until I got groceries because they were going to let it get hot. Kids know nothing about beer. Of course, it's Coors Light and Bud Light Platinum - I'm pretty sure they can't make it taste any worse.
PS - yes, p-chop, she's hot - but her boyfriend is a Marine.![]()
