Okay...
My XO comes up to me yesterday and says are you ready to give that presentation tomarrow. I remind her she had put my presentation back another month. We go back and forth and basicly it came out that I still had to do it today. So I spent the majority of last night finishing the presentation, making handouts for all that were expected to be present, going over the topic and working up to fill the 45 minute timeframe that I was alloted. The topic is MDMP.
This morning she tells me, "We might not get to you today" and that "I will let you know".
Alright. So in the meantime I go back and assist with the PMI class; putting it together, developing the way the class is going to go, safety, then familiarization and the fundamental shooting techiniques and instruction. We give the class. My portion was fundamental shooting techniques and instruction. I knock it out of the park. No notes. No work up the night before. The Lt. Col. was so impressed he went to tell the acting 1st Sgt. and the CO. Things are looking great.
During that same break, before the instruction protion, I went looking for the XO. By now it is later in the day and I hadn't heard from her.
I run into the acting 1st Sgt and ask where the XO is. He doesn't know. I ask if we were going to do my presentation. He said you need to ask the XO. I explain I have not been able to find her and I have not been given an agenda for the day. He says nothing. I would have gone to the CO but she was in a conference call.
At the end of the day it comes up that I didn't give my prepared presentation. Rather, I instructed for PMI. (Note: I have been a range coach and multiple time expert shooter). I was chastised in front of others for not conducting my class. Turns out the XO had to take a soldier to the airport. It looks like I will also get chewed from the XO for not "following the chain of command".
Fuck. If you don't want me to do something or plans change then just tell me. I have this funny thing of following up to do my job. I guess I should have just sat with my thumb up my ass like a good butter bar rather than taking the initiative to follow through.

I have almost rebuilt to the physical fitness I need to go. If I don't get the transfer then I will go with a possible backdoor route that Skyshark suggested.

I deal with the same thing. You'll need to change your settings to allow popups from APO or click on the box that alerts you to the popup being blocked to temporarily allow them.
