So I was dropping my wife off at work this morning, which just happens to be a restaurant right across the street from the airport. As I am getting back in the car, I hear the distinctive sound of a C-130 taxiing down the runway. At that point it hit me- I desperately want a job that involves working at an airport. I love the sounds of the aircraft, the smell of avgas and jet exhaust, all of it. I have to find a job with someone out there.

The wife's godfather works for the FAA, I think I'll start with him...

We live about a mile from an Air National Guard base. There are nights and days where our house shakes from the jets and C-130's getting ready to head out. It is awesome to see them circling over head as we sit outside.

They've got the Air Guard's 132nd TFW there, too- my house is right in their flight path, so on drill weekends I get the pleasure of seeing and hearing the F-16s take off. I get a pretty good view, I can almost make out the grins on the pilots' faces...

You know, when Cheney shot his friend in the face, everyone complained because it took 2 days for everyone to find out.

But when Clinton shot Monica in the face, it took 6 months and a grand jury for everyone to find out.
