Ok,
Today I was visiting a woman I know. She had her W2 and had gone to HR Block. She's a 30 something single mom with two kids in Jr High. She works at a gas station. She had me look at her paperwork a little. I've given her this kind of advice for many years.
She paid $900 in income taxes. She's getting back $6,500. These are the numbers from her tax sheet. Probably a 1040EZ form. Nothing fancy.
While happy for her (and my occasional rescue funds), all I want to know is HOW IN THE FUCK DO YOU GET BACK MORE THAN YOU PAY IN?!?!?!?
How many fucking people out there are at poverty level getting money back that they didn't pay in????
