Yeah, my brother modifies Roman Candles, and we fire from the launcher. Great time.
He also builds his own "firecrackers" and we spend much of the 4th blowing holes in my Dad's yard.

I told my brother to bring grass seed this year, here are a couple from last year. They are in DivX format (free from real player)

" Per CAL: You have to have a DivX module installed to view the other two, but it appears you can play it on other programs besides RealPlayer. I used Winamp. When you post them, put a note that you have to have a DivX plug in installed to see the video portion. "Here's the links:

    Bought a new one Today

Buddy is going through a divorce and was selling off stuff. I was with him when he bought it new and has only about a hundred rounds through it. Would have bought more from him but then I would be going through my own divorce :D

    Try it out tomorrow.

P245, needed a new carry that was easy to conceal and .45 ACP for some Personal Protection work that I have been doing. The Grip is about an inch shorter than the P220 and you only lose 1 round in the magazine. I am on my way to shoot it as soon as the range opens this morning so I have not carried it yet but will be tonight.

Question My new Bushmaster XM15-E2S 16" and EOTECH512 Holographic site

I just got my new rifle and sight 2 weeks ago. I am in need of some information on the sight.

The EOTECH 512 holographic sight is on the picatinny rail where my removable carrying handle goes.

My question is this; The front sight post is permanent and in the view with the holograph. Should I totally disregard the front sight post or use it in conjunction with the red dot in the center of the circle?

I was at the range a few days ago and was trying to get used to it. You're supposed to have both eyes open to keep all of your vision to find more targets.

I placed the red dot on the top of the post and wasn't nearly close enough on my target to be comfortable with it.

I then disregarded the front sight post and simply fired by pointing the rifle and shooting what was aquired with the reticle. Still not comfortable with the outcome.

I went back to using the front sight post in conjunction with the reticle. I also made adjustments with the elevation and windage on the new sight. This time I was performing much better and I had some real nice shots.

Can anyone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? I'm just not used to using this type of sight and I feel like a rookie.

I do enjoy the system though. Man is it sweet!

I've seen it done both ways. I put the Red dot just above the front post and had good results. One question, are you shooting through all three sights to zero? i.e. flip up the back sight, lower the dot until it is just above the front post. Put a few rounds out to verify zero, then lower the rear sight and blast away.

No, my rear sight is attached to the carrying handle and it is taken off in order to attach the new EOTech512 sight.

I could buy a rear site and mount it before the EOTech sight. Sounds interesting.

    Yhanks for your input.

I just bought a cheek rest and a few goodies for the weapon. I'm waiting to get them via UPS.

    Ratface.

When the armorer stowed your weapon in the rack, did he drop the hammer? Of course he did.

edited: IOW, those rifles came out of the safe just for the picture.

Exactly Right. 3 points - nothing but net.

The armorer always had the rifle on fire and he always pulled the trigger after making sure it was cleared. I always received my weapon in that very position as well.
