I am here to post the content of the other thread only. I want to win the war on terror, beat the Taliban and I am doing my bit to help.

We don't mind folks sharing their wisdom, but we like to know they are here to be a part of our community, not just to push their own product (intellectual or otherwise). I may undelete your link, once we get to know you.

Of course, while your information is interesting, the fact is that we - the membership of this site - are (or have been) primarily in the warrior profession. In other words, we don't determine or influence policy, we simply execute it. We, of course, want to win in Afghanistan as well. But, our members who are in the fight don't decide the strategy, they just kill the people they are told to kill.

I had the opportunity to read through your strategic advice on winning a war against the Taliban through mass concentrations of additional soldiers and saturation bombing of areas within Afghanistan and Pakistan, and ultimately replacing their governments with ones we like better.

I must say I always find it interesting when I see someone so willing to deploy other people's husbands, wives, sons and daughters and initiate an all-out war, while that person lived their life completely unencumbered of the rigors of actual military service themselves, even in a clerical capacity. Speaking only for myself, I've always found that the people best suited for planning battles were those who had some experience in it.
