I actually blame the Military for letting this happen. Too many soldiers get out and don't know anything about accredited schools and what type of schools they should be going too. I think with the increase of veterans getting out and the increase in GI Bill funds there needs to be a class that is part of out-processing.
I got my undergrad from a For-Profit school. It was accredited so I had no issues getting accepted into my Graduate program. But too many soldiers fall for the phone call or e-mail about getting an easy degree.

What was wrong with the old GI Bill. I first applied to a Federal Land Grant State university and got nothing but shit from stupid people about recieving my USAFI credits and my transfer credits from Northwestern Louisiana University. I raised hell with the Dean and was told they would make an "exception". I refused to enroll and went to a for profit school that knew what they were doing and had no problem. Of course this was in the 1980's. I also attended a community college without any problems. The key is to know your rights and look out for yourself. If you do not things will deffinately get f**ked up. THATS LIFE. AIRBORNE! GERONIMO!!

Not-For-Profit schools are as money hungry as any other school. That isn't a good enough indicator of a schools educational benefit or potential future salary. I went to a For Profit school and now make an annual salary 12 times what I paid in total tuition.
