    Default 70 years ago today......

    The Finest Parachute Regiment in existence, the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment was formed on the Frying Pan at Fort Benning, Georgia!! Happy 70th Birthday Panthers!!

    Sorry some of you wannbes never had the honor to serve in the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, but hey, we need you junior varsity players too!!!

    505th PIR.....setting the Division standards since 1942!!!!

    The 505th PIR was originally an independent regiment and didn't become part of Division unil FEB 1943. Learn some history! :)
