    Default SCOTUS upholds Obamacare

Wtf. It's okay for the goverment to force me to buy health insurance, so now we are on the slippery slope to more and more government interference with our liberties.

Which is the chief problem with the whole thing, what are they going to mandate I buy next? Asparagus?

I do not like where this shit is headed at all. I'm livid, and short of voting and bitching there isn't a damn thing I can do about it.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

We just witnessed a turning point in the history of the Republic. It isn't a positive one.
    The answer- November 6, 2012.

The question- What is the last day that Barack Obama has to make ANY pretense of not being an extreme leftist?

It's but a "punt" in the game's 1st quarter - this is just the beginning of what will be a long bunch of painful political foofarah.

I'm not sure what the gutless bastards can do but with these 2 SCOTUS rulings, the Republicans in Congress better get some balls and do something. With all the BS that gets made up east of the Potomac......fuck it. I'm just tired of the whole fucking mess. I'm glad I'm 56, I figure with my health as it is now and with the help of Obamacare, I got maybe 15 years left. Fucking bloodsuckers in this country have really shoved the knife into the back of America these last few years. And with the help of that botox bitch from CA......she must really hate her own grandkids and great-grandkids. Just fuck it all. Don't these people realize it affects their own bloodlines also? Or are they really that fucking stupid. This country needs a cleansing. Where the hell is the liberal plague when you need it? Oh, that's right, the fucking liberals are already a plague on this country.

Sorry for all the F bombs. I'm just fucking pissed off at the moment. I guess Obama threatened to gas SCOTUS if it didn't go his way. I just can't believe the crap this son of a bitch is getting away with. That Congress is letting him get away with.

Congress can't force you to buy, but they can tax the living crap out of you.

Which is wonderful if you're those who either don't bother to pay taxes or don't have to pay taxes.

Purple is right; it would have been nice to have had a win today, but the Dems would just have rallied against a "political decision" as they do when ever they lose a case (just as the GOP does). One interesting thing is the majority called the mandate a "Tax" instead of a "penalty." They said that under any other conditions the mandate would be unconstitutional under the Commerce Clause. This causes problems for Obama, who promised NEVER to raise taxes on the Middle Class (which he has broken, but...), even Obama did not want to call this thing a tax. Now it is. This puts Dems in a tough spot because now they have put in the spot of imposing an estimated $400 billion "tax" increase on the American people. Not good politics in an election year..

In the meantime, Republicans are already at work galvanizing support. In 2010 one of the big things that caused the turnover of power in the House was Healthcare. Things have died down because everyone figured SCOTUS would overrturn it and the war won. Now, the issue is back on front burner. I know I have not been an enthusiastic Romney supporter, he was not anywhere on my list of favored candidates and IMHO perhaps only marginally better than Obama. I figured I would hold my nose and vote AGAINST Obama in the fall. Now, I'm leaning more toward AGAINST Obama and FOR Romney. I might even do something I never thought I'd do - write a check for Romney. I think it's that important to remove Obama and his gang out of the White House. Once we've done that, then we can work to keep Romney's feet to the fire and remind him and HIS gang that there is another Congressional Election in 2014.

    Positive side of it.

    Unconstitutional under the commerce clause.

People now know it's a massive tax hike wait until they get there pay checks and there FICA tax is half there check.

States have the right to opt out of the medicare expansion program which was supposed to cover 1/3 of the cost 26 states have.

This may end up a good thing after all, fingers crossed

The only good I see in this "punt" is more GOP support in November. Here's to praying that Obuma gets kicked out of office and the incoming throws that shit out as his first executive order.

I agree. This helps Romney and all Republicans running at every level.

I don't see a positive in this at all. Precedent is precedent, and whether it's a tax or not, it opens the door for future "taxes" which destroy our liberties one at a time. And the next "tax" will receive much less scrutiny due to the precedent set today. I'm not at all convinced that a Republican wouldn't abuse this precedent down the road.

For the first time in my life I am donating money to a polotical party....... before the IRS comes and takes me away to the death camps so undocumented travelers can take my home on a government loan and go to college for 20 years.
