It sounds like this guy is definitely spouting a lot of BS. If he is an Air Force veteran what was he doing in the 101st. There are a bunch of Co Es in the Division. What Battalion/Rgt? i.e. 3/187, 2/506 etc. I was with the 101st from Nov 68 to Sep 69 and worked with the LRRPs on occasion. But I never heard of 101st doing so much jumping from so many different kinds of airframes. Now SOG was doing some classified jumping. Some of it in the Ashau and across the Laotian and Cambodian borders. Most of it was HALO. There are a lot of questions you can ask him about details. What element of SOG was he with? What year? What were the drop zones? What were the objectives? What altitude did he jump from (for HALO in SEA should be between 17000 and 21000 ft)? Who else jumped with him? How were they extracted? Was the extraction by STABO (Stabilized Tactical Airborne Operation) Helicopter with V rings? Can he show you his HALO wings? Did he get a combat star for his HALO wings? Have fun with the questions.
I wouldn't embarass myself by asking to see his HALO wings, after all, it should be evident his LRRPs Wings are enough to cover any and all methods/means of airborne insertion/extraction.

The Drivers badge is in the same special skill group (5) as the Diver and Rigger badges.

It is with great dismay that I learned they have discontinued the Buffer bar for that badge, but since all current Army barracks come furnished with luxury porno-shag carpet and maid services, it's understandable.

You have to remember sometimes the 82nd let Men go like Big MM. To teach the other Services how to do it the Airborne way. Now the 101st is a different story,,,,

Joking about the 101st. Damn great unit and History.
I would of been proud to be in that Div.

He's as wrong as two boys in a broom closet. That joker looks like got a gift card from Medals of America and just went nuts. When I get back to the states I'm gonna go hang out around surplus stores and troll for idiots.

Damn, that poor guy looks like he's about to fall over from the 10 pounds of fabric and metal hanging off his uni. Is that an Antarctica Service Ribbon? Must've got those 2 stars on the CIB fighting off penguins.

I think I'd be embarassed to wear that much crap - even if I'd earned it all. I'd thought about pinning some of my stuff on a jean jacket like some of the other vets I've seen at Memorial Day ceremonies and stuff - just didn't feel right to me. Don't have anything against guys who earned their fruit salad and bolo badges wearing it but I just feel self-conscious. I know I'd feel like a turd walking into a place with a getup like that - "Hey look at me! I'm somebody!" But I guess the guy has issues or he wouldn't be posing in the first place.
