Nope. Instruction sheet suggests an electric kitchen knife. Don't gots one, so I guess I'm on my own. There's always a leatherman and duct tape.

Google Maps directions to Brownells downloaded. Audio books and additional music downloaded to iPhone. Interstate regs for firearms transport downloaded and reviewed. Combo locks for gun cases double checked. Batteries in earmuffs changed. Elbow/knee pads packed. Ammo order arranged for pick-up.

Contemplating cooler for snacks/drinks for the road. Almost 14 hours one way ain't gonna be fun.

It's done. Ain't pretty, but it works. I used my quilters rotary blade to start it, then finished cutting the lower layer with a serrated kitchen knife.

Stuff is piled in the kitchen, ready to throw in the car, and get on the road tonight after work.
I've never driven this far alone before. New adventure.

Be sure to take your cell phone charger and drinking water for the road. And if you can, comfy quick-dry clothing. It's God-awful miserable hot out here in the Midwest. 106°F yesterday in KC, MO, today going to 107° F, more of the same predicted for the next couple weeks. Hydrate like crazy, even if bathroom breaks are difficult during the course. You can always wash your pants later if you must.

Update: Survived the 1700 mi round trip alone. Only casualty was a chip in the windshield somewhere in Indiana. Holy Cow, it's so freaking flat that I got 30mpg!!!

Brownells Big Spring Range was very accomodating, and Larry Weeks shot in our "girl squad" with us.

Learned so much that I need to hurry up and write stuff down before I forget!!

Jerry Miculek adjusted my rifle scope, so now I'm going to gold-plate it and never touch it again!!

    Video on Facebook.

Head instructors were: Kay Miculek - multi-multi-multi time national and international shooting champ in multiple disciplines, and Jerry Miculek - who needs no introduction to most of you. They were assisted by: their daughter Lena Miculek - who is an up and coming national level shooter, Maggie Reese - who is a several time national 3Gun/Multigun champ, and who appeared on the TV Show Top Shot, and Gary Ferns - who has shot 3Gun for 30 years.

ALL of these folks were great (and patient) teachers, as many of us had not shot anything but handgun before.

I may now be in the market for a tactical semi-auto shotgun. The camp used Mossbergs as loaners.
Now if I can just remember how not to get my thumb bitten off on the weak-hand reloads.
