Default And Yet Another Milestone in Today's Military

Pentagon to mark Gay Pride Month.

I don't even want to try to imagine the activities to be scheduled for this...

I loved the military but I am so glad I am not a member of today's newest social experiment. I don't think I've ever gone this far before but I believe there are some in leadership, decision making positions that need to be found in the roadside ditch by the coroners crew. I can see it now. There's going to be some freaking flamers in those leather cut out chaps prancing their asses down the blvd in San Fran during the gay parade(I refuse to even give it an uppercase). And don't say it can't or won't happen. Don't say the AR's won't allow it. Who thought it would go this far this fast? I'm getting a custom window decal made up that says "Ex-Military but NOT GAY" made for my truck.

Sounds like there's going to be a lot of ass-kissing going on.

Loved the military and was proud to serve, but am damn glad that I'm not currently. I salute and support the who have been going into harms way for the last decade. But I have some serious doubts about some of the senior military leaders

Why exactly would anyone be proud of being gay?

For years, the LGBT community has been fighting to prove that it isn't a lifestyle choice, it's hardwired into their genetic code. So if you have no cognizant selection over which gender trips your trigger, what is there to be proud about? There's no accomplishment to it... they didn't DO anything but go along with what nature dealt them.

You might as well have Blue-eyed Pride Month.

    That is an excellent point.

While I could care less about anyone's race, orientation, etc - I've never been a big fan of going out of your way to display who you are to everyone. I don't care much for "Black Power" rallies, nor would I care for white ones, either. Same with sexual orientation. I'm not a big fan of "Gay Pride" parades, nor would I go to or participate in a "Straight Pride" parade.

I'm a big believer in the idea that, if you want to be accepted, then you should live a good life, be responsible and honest, and do good work. If you focus on the traits you can control, like honesty, work-ethic, charity, etc...you go much further in being accepted for who you are by most people. And, the one's who won't accept you for a trait you can't control (race, sexual orientation, height, etc) probably won't accept you anyway.

Very progressive of this site to accept P-Chop... he has LOTS of traits he can't control.

Genetics or choice, they flip back and forth depending on whichever one is more politically expedient.

WTF? Re: And Yet Another Milestone in Today's Military

I'm just worried about what special meal they're going to serve at the D-Fac to commemorate the day . Question: If you have a bunch of gay cooks that work in the Chow hall could you call it a D-Fag ?

How do you know when you're at a gay cookout? All the hotdogs taste like shit.

Problem is mainly white people have blue eyes, and we can't have anything pro white to celebrate, that would be racist
