    Default WW II Vet

The hippo is unpredictable and aggressive with old scars and fresh, deep wounds providing signs of daily fights that are accompanied by much bellowing, neighing and snorting.

The article stated he served with the 1st Infantry Division and landed at Utah. The 1st Infantry landed on Omaha along with the 29th and Rangers; The 4th Division landed on Utah with the 90th Division coming in later in the day. Somebody got it wrong somewhere. Probably the reporter.

It wasn't an article. I quoted him directly. Remember that he is near to 89 years old.

That's true; wasn't aware of the source of the text and no offense meant.

After living through WWII then the 60's and 70's, now Obama, I can see how he would be a little grumpy.

That's what I told a jerk at VA some years ago.

He is probably telling you what really happened. I doubt that a reporter even knew the names of the beaches. In Viet Nam the only place I ever saw a reporter was in the club at Corps HQ. They usually wrote their stories from the ensum that was put out by HQ every morning. I sure as hell never saw one down in the U MINH where I was. I know several WW11 Veterans and they are pretty sharp. One drove a truck in the Red Ball Express. AIRBORNE! GERONIMO!!

From what we know about PTSD today I think alot of our older grouchy, grumpy, some many times divorced, some always in fights, some always a drink in hand combat vets actually suffered from the disorder and were just undiagnosed.
