Force Recon using a HMMWV? Maybe back in garrison. I seriously doubt they'd use one in combat. It can't be lifted/loaded in Marine helicopters.

I believe they do use HMMWV's and they can sling load them with CH-53's, but the whole story sounds stupid and made up.

EXACTLY! We had people there until the fall of Saigon in April '75, but NO battles were fought by our people(maybe, with the exception of some SF folks who were out and about with the ARVN)in that time frame. UNBELIEVABLE. I guess a CSM pension wasn't enough for this clown!!!
