    Default New Around here GA

Well I'm new around here. I've been lurking nonregistered for a while now. After searching a number of units I've found myself here numerous times getting information about them. I'm a former Infantry Marine and now a Guardsman. I'd rather not post to much personal identifying information since I've been screwed before but feel free to PM me. Of course I'm not a paratrooper the Marine Corps can only afford to send 1 Marine a year from the entire Corps to Airborne and my name never got picked some officer got picked instead. Anyhow I'm a HardCharger in a leg Guard unit investigating slightly higher than average speed units in the GA Guard. I'm not willing to devote 3 years of my life to the guard to be a Guard Beret but I do aspire to more than a run of the mill line company. Any information or pointers are welcome.

    Beeftrain,

Where to begin. First. allow me to welcome you to the site and to also thank you for your service to this great nation. Second, The information that we require here on this site is nothing that would violate anything to do with PERSEC/OPSEC. How can you be screwed by posting dates and untis you served with as well as any schools you atteneded. We do not want nor do we allow your full name to be posted in this thread or anywhere else on the public side of the site.
I hope that you decided to stick around and continue to be a member here, that being said, if you choose to do so you will need to follow the rules of the house.

So, I must insist that before you post anywhere else on the this site, you go back and read the SOP and Introductions requirements and then post the proper information needed so that we know to whom we are talking to.

Of course if you served in any "special" units that you are not allowed to talk about we totally understand and just ask that you tell us that you served in units you are not allowed to talk about. We understand what that is all about.

Oh I almost forgot, I meant to tell you that this statment here........

Marine Corps can only afford to send 1 Marine a year from the entire Corps to Airborne and my name never got picked some officer got picked instead.
    Is complete Bullshit.

I went through jumpschool with a shit load of Recon guys. You might want to check your facts before you post them here. If you had not figured it out in your time spent "lurking" here as a registered user, we are not just a bunch of folks that "think" they know wht they are talking about.

    Just some friendly advice.

Welcome to the place. Looking forward to a proper intro.

We had 4 or 5 Marines in my company at BAC, 3 were in my stick. One of them, from CA, was scared shitless about the night jump. One of his fellow Marines, from Brooklyn, was screwing with him about it mercilessly. "It's dahk out der. They're gonna drop us in the trees. We're all gonna die." "SHUT UP, WILL YA! JUST SHUT UP!"
