I definitely agree there, I've seen my students come back from Paris Island and even after completing their enlistments (giving the PI time to wear off) and am amazed at how the Corps did the job. I've always chalked it up to the fact the Corps, alone among the services has held the line on their conduct of initial entry training and overall discipline.

I do have to admit I was amazed at the change Ft Benning wrought in my young nephew after Basic and Infantry School this past year. The jury's still out as to how long it will hold.

Sounds like JoBa is speaking about the average Marine he comes in contact with.He is not comparing them to Ranges in a battalion area.

Yeah, that avatar was given to me when I first hit the internet by an 82nd warrior named Kelly Hyde that started airborneranger.com. Never bothered to change it. Kinda fits sometimes.

Had a lot of fun with Marines. Saved em, fought em, stole from em, got mortared by em. Always liked the idiots.

My Jar Head came home yesterday for his brothers graduation. I can attest that he has the Marine ego and walks around like he had a steel rod inserted into his spine.
He hit the gym today, drank a six pack, chain smoked a pack of cowboy killers and went out with his friends about an hour ago. I love my Marine. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338329504.879030.jpg

Aren't you the same cat that "was" a Marine, but once you got an education decided to Join the Army? Yeah, you are not allowed to say Semper FI anymore. LOL

Marines ? Those guy's that cram into those small boats and run across that open beach under heavy cross fire just so they can close with the enemy. There all right with me.

Marines? The Aggies of the armed forces. "Gig 'em!"

When I was drafted, they were drafting for the Marine Corps, too. Had me worried until they saw my birth certificate listed both parents and they sent me to the Army side.
