    Default on Memorial Day weekend

    Latin lyrics English translation
    Pie Jesu, Pie Jesu,
    Pie Jesu, Pie Jesu,
    Qui tollis peccata mundi;
    Dona eis requiem,
    Dona eis requiem.

    Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei,
    Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei,
    Qui tollis peccata mundi;
    Dona eis requiem,
    Dona eis requiem.
    Sempiternam, sempiternam requiem.

    Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy
    Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy

    You who take away the sins of the world;

    Grant them rest,
    Grant them peace

    Lamb of God, Lamb of God,
    Lamb of God, Lamb of God,

    You who take away the sins of the world;

    Grant them rest,
    Grant them peace.
    Peace everlasting, everlasting.

    Normally I cant stand PBS but this concert is really good and worth the lines/wait if you are in DC the night before Memorial Day. I have had the opportunity to go the last two years but will miss this year. I'll be watching on TV though.

    Not to high jack the thread but Im postings this here because it falls with Memorial Day.

    Day is done,
    gone the sun,
    From the hills,
    from the lake,
    From the skies.
    All is well,
    safely rest,
    God is nigh.
    Go to sleep,
    peaceful sleep,
    May the soldier
    or sailor,
    God keep.
    On the land
    or the deep,
    Safe in sleep.

    Love, good night,
    Must thou go,
    When the day,
    And the night
    Need thee so?
    All is well.
    Speedeth all
    To their rest.

    Fades the light;
    And afar
    Goeth day,
    And the stars
    Shineth bright,
    Fare thee well;
    Day has gone,
    Night is on.

    Thanks and praise,
    For our days,
    'Neath the sun,
    Neath the stars,
    'Neath the sky,
    As we go,
    This we know,
    God is nigh.

    Today is for all my brother warriors, but this is especially for the Sky Soldiers of my day... the men I heard of in high school, and wanted to measure up to.

    We were the kids who would jump off a bridge if our friends did it.

    At church today the junior pastor preached. Did he address memorial day? No he spoke of being wary of what a person says comes from the heart. Really? The irony for me is staggering. The Little Shit.

    Came across this on you tube. 25 minute video with Ronald Reagan & Roy Benavidez (Tango Mike Mike) in his own words. A person can get choked around this thread.

    It would be hard for me to not consider changing churches. Do you know if your jr. pastor is a veteran? Might make a difference.
