We have a long history of failure to protect those who helped us in conflicts. In Vietnam we threw the Montagnards under the bus, and looks like we threw this guy under the bus too. By WE I mean the US Government and State Department. It's a wonder that people will still help us with our dismal track record. Our Govt. wants us to remember the Holacaust from WWII but they don't want us to remember that we refused Germany's offer to ship European Jews here before the "Final Solution" started. This country was just as anti-semitic as Germany was.

I really don't see that so much. If anything, I'd say that the Jewish tribes have assimilated into American culture well. I am not a great fan of the actions of the State of Israel sometimes, but the Jewish people really don't come up in conversation at all. No more than random comments concerning other groups like Hungarians or Brazilians or Australians.

If anything, it seems to me lots of non-Jews throw the race card out there at the drop of a hat in unsolicited defense of the Jewish people. There seems to be an inability to disconnect criticism of the Israeli Gov't from the Jewish peoples living in Israel, America, and elsewhere abroad.

I admit that I don't listen to CNN, MSNBC, FOX, or any other cable news networks because I got sick of all the sensationalism, editorialism disguised as news, and flat out silly name-calling bullshit. Maybe that is where all this hate mongering of the Jews (and every other discernable group) is at.

Agreed gatorojo, and the tension can be best seen with the Mumbai attack (which evidence suggests an ISI involvement), Kashmir and the cold war between the Indian and Pakistani armed forces...

The only thing that makes sense to me about the unfortunate doctor is: He took the CIA money, ran the vaccination programme, and then delivered false evidence back to the CIA indicating that Bin Laden was not at the house. Thus the CIA, after discovering the truth through unknown and un-named other sources, staged the raid and found that the doctors evidence was doctored. Thats how they could throw him to the wolves by disclosing the vaccination trick to incriminate him.

This would have been good info to hear in the article so it didn't sound like we were just throwing the Dr under the bus...hell I would love to have driven the bus in that case and backed up a few times to make sure his speed bump ass was taken care of correctly and completely
