    Default National Guard ABN units?

I used to be an 11B in the 82nd. Now I'm curious if there are any NG ABN units? I live in GA and I've heard that they have one LRS company that's on jump status but I can't seem to find any hard info on it. Anyone know for sure? Sorry if this has been discussed before, I searched but didn't see anything.

1-143rd is Airborne. They're currently downrange.

Cut me some slack KH. Let me re-phrase. I've done enough searching to be pretty sure that they exist and to BELIEVE that they are on jump status but that's about all I can find. The GANG does not have any kind of decent website or anything and 3-108th doesn't seem to either.

When it was H 121 it had a kick ass website.

Rep inbound just for putting that in writing.

The Heathen's idea of slack is refraining from beating your ass for having a loose bootlace in the middle of a 12-hour firefight.

I saw 1-143rd ABN guys all the time at JBER (Ft. Richardson). There's even an element of the unit down here with me at FOB Salerno...

There are also 2 NG SF groups that are on jump status.

My last jump was with the NG (5/19th SFG) at Fort Carson, CO.

And assorted other units. The 56th troop command, RIARNG is on status. Don't ask me why though.

All I know is that is how I'll soften the blow of becoming a staff officer.

Back in the 90's the PA Guard had a Platoon on jump status, they acted like an LRS unit but were more like Scouts, not sure if they are still going on, drilled with them while they were moving from Shippensburg to Ft. Indiantown Gap, they were the 101st Inf or something close to that

Everyone brings up the NG SG groups but I just can't see myself going to selection anymore. I'm closing in on thirty I wouldn't want to spend they 18 months or more in training. It was a dream of mine long ago but those days are gone.
