Default Introduction guidance - DEPS and Civilians

Welcome to ArmyParatrooper.org. We are glad you are here. We encourage you to participate here at AP.org, but remember that this is primarily a Paratrooper site. Your introduction should go in this forum.

If you aspire to join the military, you have come to the right place. The Paratroopers here have a wealth of knowledge and one of the reasons this site was created was to help prepare those who wish to join the military so they can put their best foot forward. In your introduction, please tell us why you are here and what your goals are in the military. If you have signed a contract and are a DEP, let us know that in your intro. Also include your contract information and your current PT scores in your introduction as well as posting your pertinent dates on our calendar. When posting on the calendar, use the following format for the title of your entry: "Username" ship date, "Username" OSUT start date, etc.

    In case you missed it.......

One of the purposes here at ArmyParatrooper.org is to help those that want to join the military and serve their country. Too often people go through the enlistment process unprepared, relying solely on their recruiter for information and guidance, which usually ends up with bad results and/or missed opportunities. The goal here at AP.org for those of you that are aspiring to join the military is to ensure that you are as prepared as possible mentally and physically for your upcoming military career as well as having as much knowledge as possible when you get ready to sign your enlistment contract. To help accomplish these goals we have a mentor program set up. The program matches a prospective service member (you) with a BTDT Paratrooper to help you along the way develop your physical fitness as well as help prepare you for the process of enlisting. To qualify for the mentor program, there are a few requirements:

Have an interest in joining the military

Be 16 years of age or older

Have at least 6 months remaining before your ship date

If you would like to join the mentor program or have any questions about it, PM an Admin.
