    Default Thuggery in Chicago

Someone care to explain how this happens in a city with such strict gun laws...oh, that's right, when guns are banned, only the criminals will have guns. I mean, really, how fucking blind and stupid can the fucking left continue to be. I mean, even the Canadians are slowly beginning to figure it out I think after their self-imposed fiasco. In my mind, it just shows and proves this whole anti-gun thing is "gasp" fucking conspiracy cause people can't really be this stupid; their fucking gene pool would have dried up long ago if they were.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that at least 10 people were killed and 40 others wounded in one of the most violent Chicago weekends in recent history. Of course, all the news will focus on the 6 year old girl (poor kid, more black on black - can't talk about it, crime) instead of focusing on the fact that, I'm just presuming now, every one was shot with an illegal firearm, in otherwords, carried, owned, used, whatever by a 27 time repeat offender. I mean, I'm just making shit up out of the blue but I wonder how close I really am to the truth?

Ooohhh!!!! Responding to a bloodbath of violence over the weekend, Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said Monday that he’s seeing an “uptick” in gang conflicts — and will soon provide beat cops with better information about gangs to stop retaliatory shootings. Duh...you think so. I don't call 10 dead and 40 wounded an "uptick".

I mean, really though, what can you do? You can't just drag them off the street and put a bullet in them like a mad dog. You can't just put them in prison for ever...well, maybe they could be shipped off to Sheriff Joe, he seems to do things pretty inexpensively. I mean, just what is the solution without making it the "final solution"?

Creating laws to stop the carry of guns by criminals didn't work (criminals don't adhere to laws- Duh), so they decide to make anyone carrying a criminal (see my first Duh), and what you end up with is honest citizens who have been disarmed being prayed on by the criminals who are still carrying because (and this will blow your mind) they are CRIMINALS and DON'T FOLLOW LAWS.

I say mandate that everyone exercise their 2A rights and carry, so Joe Dirtbag has a new dilemma. "Is that old lady a good shot?"

I never liked Shit-cago. It turns out people like Al Capone, Rahm Emanuel, Richard Daly and Barack Obama. Therefore I avoid it. Were I forced to be there, I would carry concealed, just like the folks in charge do.

Maine has very relaxed gun laws, there is no minimum age limit to open carry in public, yet we have one of the lowest crime rates with weapons. Huh, if everyone carries, less crime.

This is a dilemma that is as old as humanity. Used to be that you could just banish them from the Clan. Out there, alone, they would soon die. Survival depended on cooperation and getting along/adhering to whatever your tribal expectations were. If you didn't do that, you jeopardized everyone - so bye-bye.
But with civilization comes being "civilized" - no more (or very little) of that death for misbehavior stuff.

The more liberal end of the spectrum in the past century and a half or so thought that crime came from poverty and lack of opportunity and good role models. Thus all the social programs that have arisen - everything from the YMCA to subsidized housing, and prison "rehabilitation". But all those housing projects in Chicago that were well-meaning, ended up being probably as bad or worse than the slums they were built to replace. And how many released prison inmates go back to exactly the lifestyle they left?

I dunno what the answer is. I used to have a fairly rosy outlook about humanity in general, but I've become more cynical over the years. I'm thinking that you can't change human nature. No matter how great you make society, there is a certain random percentage who will still throw away every opportunity and screw themselves and everyone else the first chance they get.

It's not illegal to own a firearm in Chicago anymore, the SC took care of that. But it is illegal to carry.

True for the first part and the second part would have made sure you were disarmed at the restaurant. And as Maniac says..."An armed society is a polite society".

I've been to Chicago a few times. I kinda like it..... as far as big cities go. There are a few great places for drinkin and you can take the L from place to place. They just need to clean up their corrupt gun grabbing, nanny-state gov't.
There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live -- did live, from habit that became instinct -- in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized. E. A. Blair

Agreed. I lived in the burbs for seven years and loved going into the city - it's the politics that make it undesirable. Get the libtards out and that's a great place to be!
