Lets make the women have to achieve the same fitness standards as males also everything should be coed. Shouldn't everyone have to use the same latrine, sleep in the same barracks, use the same showers. If it works in starship troopers shouldn't it work in ranger school.

IF this does take place...it was concieved at 1600 Pennslyvania Avenue, and unfortunately we will NOT see one DA big-wig or general shout "enough" and stand on principle.

Women in the army aren't even held to the same basic standards as men, why not start there? If so much of the Army senior leadership is Ranger qualified, then why the hell are they doing dumbass shit like this?

Sometime within the next year (after IOBC) I'm hoping to get into Ranger school (national guard). I don't want my RS class to be remembered as "the easy one" because of changed standards or "the one with the women". I don't even give a shit if that's sexist.

The whole country is on the downhill slide into the pit of hell anyway. This is just another pit stop. Much worse is going to come down the pike.

Ok guys now a women's point of view...first women in Ranger school I agree should not happen, you are right that the standards will go down. Women are not built like men and can not handled the load that you all are required to carry. This probably came about because some high ranking women wanted the badge (just like when they went the stupid beret some general probably could not earn one).

Now on the standards-I am the FTS for my reserve unit and let me tell you it is not just all the high speed school that have become easier, but basic/AIT also. These kids that come to the unit (to include officers) feel that we owe them something. I see fast promotions to the NCO ranks and these kids do not know shit. I had to file an IG complaint against an E7 a few years ago because this MOFO did not know regs and wanted me to listen to him when I was telling him I would not do, do to regs. Ended up getting him relieved because he hung up on the CSM!! and this was an E7. Now I have an E5 who filed an IG complaint against my commander, SGM and myself because she does not know regs thinking we owe her (she wanted the commander to lift her flag for PT because she wanted to use TA)..WTF bitch I sent her AR 600-8-2 and told her as an NCO to read..

PT do not get me started 20 year olds fail all the time...On the day of the APFT these kids come in say I need to put in a profile, WTF you had all month to submit and your telling me 2 min before the APFT you hurt yourself...Some have dragged out for months without submitting, finally told them if I do not have the profile paper work 2 weeks prior they are being written up, again they complained to the Commander, thank god my Commander supports me.

Problem is we have to be careful or they file complaints, so I am always doing MFR and only sending emails (so I can save) if I need them to do something.

So lets quit bitching about the women, we are here and we can do a lot, but again I agree that Ranger, SF etc school we should not be in. But look at the kind of kids that they are letting and how the standards in the military as a whole has been lowered and how NCO's and officers hands are tied on how we can handle these kids...

Wow it took em a whole year to get ready? I was at Ft. Lost from Oct - Dec 90, and the Drills were bitching about the incoming hassle of dealing with Female trainees, most of the Drills I had were looking for any way out, they just didn't want to deal with all the crap they knew was coming to them

Females in any combat arms role is just some weak attempt to please the masses and make everything "Equal" when all it's doing is endangering Soldier's lives. OK fine I'm sure there are a COUPLE of females out there that can keep up with men but there's a hell of alot more that would slow everyone down and put us in danger.

Just in case anyone is interested, on Thursday here I had a chance to speak with the CDR of RTB. I asked him specifically if standards would be compromised and if it has been guaranteed that the women will pass Ranger School.

He told me that they'll have to go by the same standards as men (except for APFT). So RPFT & other graded shit will be the same for everyone. He also told me that no one is guaranteed to graduate RS and that he would resign rather than drop standards or guarantee graduation for anyone. Without even being prodded he told me that it wasn't 100% that they'd go to RS at the moment. He did tell me (and so did the IBOLC BN CDR) that women are coming to IBOLC in Oct as sort of a test, and with except to APFT, none of the standards will drop as well.

Another thing that CDR RTB said that even if women were in your RS class, don't worry about it and just do what you need to do to be successful at RS.
