Because I know you will read it Yvette. I would be remiss as an NCO on this patrol if I neglect to tell you when it's time to take a knee and drink water. I hope you take this in the spirit that it's given but sometimes it's good to drop ruck for a minute and you're carrying the "radio" in yours. We love the RTO and that's why we keep our eye on him because he'll burn himself out. This is a long patrol. I'm not telling you to stop scanning your sector...just take a knee.

And like every good RTO you flat fucking refuse to swap out rucks. The "radio" demands payment in pain. I'm certain all my brothers here understand this analogy. You drive on young lady, I'm just trying to keep your head in the game. EVERYBODY who humps the radio pays.

Believe me darling...they aren't forgotten. Don't let your radio jump freqs on ya, just take a knee. All patrols have rest halts.

Yvette, I get to do things that other men get to read and dream about. And I fight depression on nearly a daily basis. Noone can get around that if one dwells on the dead daily, it's the "radio"...it's fucking heavy and it hurts. Besides...the fallen speak to me at night and they told me to help you with that rucksack. Let them take a knee around you and pull security while you rest once in a while.
