Found some Old Wings
Rummaging around in a box today,I found a set of my old wings. I have no idea how old they are but here is a picture of them. I retired in 1978, so they have a little age on them.
Found some additional things like the Sp/4 stripes from 1958 and the 2nd ID at Benning in 1961,plus some wings I had on an old jacket back then.

Al. Do you still have your Blood Wings? I have mine in a safe deposit box. They will be 54 yr old this coming Aug.

Al. You had the locking pinback Wings? Super! Damn, real sorry to hear you lost them.The pinback Wings are hard to find and worth quite a bit. They are generally associated with WWII. My wings are the double clutch pin like in your picture. Early during WWII, just about all the Wings, Glider, USAAF and Airborne, etc had the locking pinback. Then sometime late in the war, they went to the double cluch pin attachment. Not sure of the exactly when.

Put that shit in a box, put my name on it, drive over to Pappy Sixs house and toss em in the mailbox....I'll pick em up when I'm back in town...........lol.
