Default Blackhawk X1 - Raptor 3-Day Pack - Supposedly jumpable

I was give this as a gift. I have no idea how this would be rigged for a jump (there are all sorts of straps and even a set up for the lowering line) but it was free and it has a 100 oz hydration system and there is an optional internal frame. botach_2202_791607636.jpgbotach_2202_791259300.jpg I looked around, be careful don't get ripped off. There are places selling this pack for below $90 and above $200! I got it because someone ended with 2!

Nice. You may need to fill that up before you see a bunch of convenience store owners following you around, Mr. Fatwa

    RH,

I don't want YOUR packing list, perve, but one that is useful and survivable, if you know what I mean. Surely, we can come up with a great list from our own collective experience in the airborne?

    Change of uniform (1 complete)
    t shirt (3 ea)
    socks (3 ea)
spare batteries (whatever you can fit)
6-8 MREs (field stripped and condensed)
as much ammo as you can fit and carry
    M68 Frag (spares)
    vs-17 panel
and a partridge in a pear tree.....

....it was always mission dependant. The only things that were ever the same was the undershirts, socks, batteries, vs-17, and the fact that I would load that bastard with as much "spare" ammo as possible (that was in addition to the 14 mags I carried on my vest for 5.56, 5 for 9mm, and two frags). Then we'd strap a few 60mm a piece to the outside of the pack if we were going to be on foot long enough to need to hump the mortar.

Much better - keep it going. I remember stripping down MREs. Compass or GPS. Snivel gear - wool and water proof. Anti-histamine, tooth-brush and paste - oral hygiene, and wet wipes! Writing material, Multi-tool, extra boot laces, binoculars. Water purification. Antacid.

What would you need if you were forced to move into a Motel/Shelter by a fire/natural disaster? That's what is in my 3 day/bugout bags.

I try to keep away from the kind hands of my government. Most of these shelters are going to be places where the strong will prey on the weak. Don't trust FEMA and don't trust your federal aid station. They WILL disarm you of knives and guns.
