I've been thinking about this alot lately.

I think we need more control over the Medical Issues Forum. There is a lot of personal info put out in there, I know I have. Stuff that I, after some thought, really don't want out there freely available in public.

I'm thinking this can be fixed in one of two ways. 1) make it an invitation only forum similar to the RLD or, 2) make it for vetted members only.

Either of these should shield personal info to folks we have an idea who they are and not some scum just trying to pry into someone's private life.

The forum is currently in the open because it contains numerous topics of interest to all members. Not sure if we'll put it behind closed doors because of the limited number of threads about some personal lives. But I'll be glad to discuss it with the Site Staff and Association Members.

That being said, keep in mind that -- if you've got a personal medical situation going on -- you can always put the thread in Lima or Silk, as you see fit. Often members do this for the same reason you mention; to keep outsiders from prying in their personal business.
