    Default PT Plan and Progress

As instructed, I have started a new thread to post and discuss my PT progress. Currently, I am sprinting/jogging a 2 mile course by my house. The course has quite a few hills, so I am not sure how accurate my times would be in relation to a 2 mile run on a flat course. It does burn like hell when I am finished though. I am running this about 4-5 days a week. I have located a track that I will begin to use to time my runs and keep a more consistent pace.

For push-ups, I generally put in about 20-30 in a row in the mornings as I get ready for work. In the evenings I have been working through sets of 20, or until muscle failure, depending on how rigorous the previous day was. I try to achieve at least 60-70 per day. I also have the "perfect push-up" system that I use for a change sometimes. Any thoughts on that apparatus? I am using a pull-up bar to increase upper body strength as well. I can average about 7-10 without dropping off for a rest.

My sit-up routine pretty much mimics my push-up routine.

I have some progress to make. My primary reason for delaying ship date to July is to allow myself time to be physically prepared and at the front of the pack. Time to get back to work, then home to PT. Looking forward to your responses. Fire away.

As long as you're doing something it works. Go down to the school track once every week or every other week and run that 2 miler for time. Shoot for 13 min. Don't forget to get off your heels. Get on those toes and sprint the last 100 yards. Toss some 5 milers in there once in awhile for endurance. Ya feel frisky a 10 miler every other week really helps build your endurance.

Keep at those pushups. Every day or so push to failure. Shoot for 100. Pullups the same. Shoot for at least 30. What's sad about getting in shape is that those last 3 or 4 are the only ones that are really improving you.

Roger that, Bell. I'll take heed in that advice. That burn during the last 3 or 4 pushups and pullups is great. Thanks for the tips.
