So yesterday I head to work at 0700. I'm about to head home at 1900 when I get a text from my new soldier. "Hey Sgt. I'm flying back in tonight, and my ride from the airport said they can't come get me"

So...what choice do I really have? I go home, kiss the wife and kids, change my clothes and head off on the 2.5hr drive to the airport, 2.5hr drive back. Get home about 0130 and get my stuff ready for work. Lay down at 0200 and get up at 0330. I'm back at work at 0500.
