My 6 stayed home from work today feeling light-headed and generally weak all over. She has been having some severe female issues for the past 10 days. Well, I got an emergency call at work today that she had passed out in the kitchen floor for over 20 minutes. Took her to the ER and she passed out during the triage blood draw and her veins were not cooperating. Tests came back with Hemoglobin levels at 7. Doc says she is getting a transfusion and there is alot of talk of total hysterectomy. There have been a few surgeries over the years but the majority of the lady parts have remained intact. She's younger than I am (35) and we have been married for almost 14 years. We never got pregnant because of her condition, but have two awesome adopted children. Obviously, we could care less about losing her uterus, but are hoping to hold off until June when school is out (teacher) so she doesn't go into leave without pay status. We could not afford for her to be out 6 weeks.
I would ask my brothers and sisters to send a prayer or a well wish our way during this time. My wife's name is Susan and she is a God-loving woman. Our children are currently unaware of Mama's condition as they stayed the night at Nana's tonight. My 1 year old won't get it anyway, but I'm afraid the 6 year old will freak out. Gonna have to break it to her tomorrow evening in a way she'll understand...I hope.
