Would like to pick one up instead of using an inverter. Anyone have one?

I thought that these were good up to 220. The big block looking thing on the power cord should have the range it can plugged into written on it. Computers too I think. We used to plug ours in in Iraq and the socket was 220.
X Box 360s only run off of 110. They are a little behind on this compared to Nintendo and Apple products which are all dual voltage. I have never looked for one personally I have always just ran mine through a transformer.
Also 110 and 220 do not have different plugs in South America. I have a couple of things here with the same type of plugs that are 220. Lamps, A Television, a night light for my daughter, and My Direct TV receiver. I have had to label everything so that our maid doesn't accidentally plug anything into the wrong socket.
I am getting some conflicting info. Most places say the console will run fine. Its the "brick" that is voltage specific. My xbox is enroute right now so I can't check it. Most of what I am finding on line is saying that if you get the brick for 220 it is good to go. I guess I will wait til it gets here. I just hate power inverters....gotta get on that MW3....
Sorry I couldn't help Silk. I always play it safe. If the power source for my electronics doesn't say dual voltage than I use the transformer. But then again all of the ones that I have are free, LOL! Best of luck.
no, its all good man, I have had this console since '06, it only has a 12 gb hard drive. I am kind of thinking if it burns up, it burns up....lol
Well if I was wrong I was lucky. Glad I didn't kill my fool self.
I guess I lose my privledge to play with explosives.
