Airframe & Powerplant Helicopter Mech

I looking for work any location any aircraft 40+ years exp. Ch-47, Ch-46, UH1, Hu-500, Robinson 22, several French helis such Lama Gazelle

My specility is remote field locations. I keep them flying & am also qualifed flight crew in peace and in war. over 1000 combat hrs. in Chinooks

Worked around the world. as well on ships in the tuna industry.

As well I am Arctic Airborne Infantry. Shoot loot or fix them..

LinkedIn is good if you have the right people on there. I have about about 150 people in my field (corporate aviation) on mine.

Is it any good for jobs outside the sphere of the USA?

I don't want to work in CONUS.

I figure you've already considered the main, big contractors/companies: Bell, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Northrop-Grumman, Vinnell, Lockheed, Sikorsky, etc.?

Yes I have considered then and rejected them for just that reason.

I didn't work for a long time for anyone, had money so fucked off. So called SELF-EMPLOYED

My last work in this field was on Ponapei Island on Hu-500 Little Birds. That was in 09

All the big Org's want recient work history, and I AM NOW 65 YEARS OF AGE!!

So any one out there want to sponser me as a tourist to Kandarhar, or am i just an old over the hill

And if I did get there, do you think any one might let me work, just for showing up ?

Don't think it works that way. They will have required training for you (deployment info, etc.) to receive prior to them sending you into the AO. They would probably ask you to return to the States and apply first.

Also, without a 'sponsor' you would not be able to use friendly (US mil or civ) assets and would be completely on your own in a dangerous place.

Columbia Helicopters in Oregon. They own the type certificate for the chinook. Give them a call. I'm hoping to get into there as soon as I am out of A&P school in about a year so If you do get in I'm going to need a hookup.

Good luck in your job quest. Where are you going to school for your A&P. BTW it is almost no good world wide. This is because the FAA A&P is a certification and not a licence. Better maybe to also get a European lic. these days. Then it can be converted to almost any other place you might want to work from Australia to PNG or NZ
