Started the official training for it yesterday, ran for 55 minutes. Didn't pay attention to distance (I was on a treadmill). I will be running three times a week like that, in about three weeks I'm going to up it to 85 minutes, and so on. What's the course layout? A mile between each obstacle? Etc etc?

The Florida Mudder had 24 obstacles over a 12 mile course, so only about a half mile between obstacles. It's not the running that tires you out, it's the obstacles. Of course, each Mudder has a different layout, so you basically have to train for everything.

So is it just me and Mike running this Mudder in October? I know damn well there are others in that area (yes Rocket, I am talking to you!). Maybe Jay wants to run it with us? It doesn't have to be an all APO team, but we need more representation than just two people. Looks so far like there's a bunch of paratroopers here that are paratroopers in name only these days. Don't just look back on your "glory days," make more of them by running the Mudder! Suck it up and sign up, those of you who are close.
