Suggestion; if a post gets deleted for facebook concerns, maybe it would be a good idea to shoot the poster a courtesy PM to let him or her know why it got nixed.
There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live -- did live, from habit that became instinct -- in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized. E. A. Blair

Trust me. If a post is deleted someone on the staff will address it directly with the person.

Good suggestion, Charlie. As Rocket said, if a post is killed, we will touch base with the member who posted it.

As a reminder, you don't have to turn into a bunch of girl scouts in the threads that have been linked over to Facebook or Twitter, but we do ask you exercise a little more situational awareness than you might otherwise. Since the thread, once linked, has the potential to go to a much wider audience, we don't want anything going out that would make us look as demented and perverted as we actually are. Anyone who joins as a result of seeing a FB/Twitter post will, of course, learn how crazy we are in due course and decide if they're comfortable here.

I know Rocket had to delete part of a post this morning and has touched base with the member. If he (or any staff member) has to do that, it's not really considered an "infraction", unless the member keeps doing it over and over, or it's something that violates existing site rules (i.e. racism, etc). But, I'm not too concerned that will happen very often. I think most of us have gotten in the habit of keeping the big-time craziness and perversion in the backrooms anyway, and conducting ourselves a little better on the open side of the site. Thanks again, men (and ladies).
