Community Events

We are opening this thread for community based events
which involve APO or TPA.

These events could be sponsored by us, or submissions
for sponsorship.

Keep in mind that we are a young/newly established Organization,
and there isn't enough money to sponsor everything that is asked of
us. As a matter of fact, with the money paid to WWP/Reunions/non profit
chartership...we don't have anything to give. But, with the APO store,
and other fund raising events. There will be more room to consider sponsorships.

That being said, if you want to use the APO/TPA logo's as a sponsorship
for a sports team, popsickle stand, bumper stickers etc...Talk about it here.

The idea will be run up the flag pole for authorization, or quashed on the spot.

Your idea's are welcome.

Operation Care Package is in Effect.

Please PM me if anyone else, other than mentioned
in the "Deployed" thread, is deployed.

I will need their G2 to get a care package to them.

Also, As I have not been deployed to the Sand Box. Can
you Veterans of the GWOT please start a list here of supplies
wanted within care package?

Please, keep this thread CLEAN and ON TRACK!

All post's that are deemed "Off Track" will be deleted,
and Person posting will receive a personal PM from me.


Supplies for care Packages

1. Hard candies.
2. Kool Aid packs.
3. Books/Magazines.

Playing cards

Snack foods

Sun screen (no odor)

Etc etc.

The built up FOBs have px's on them, so anything they don't have to buy is welcome.

Keep in mind. If you have a son, daughter, relative,
close friend, etc...they don't have to be a member of APO.
let's include them.

If any APO members that want a care package, and have not
already been included within the "Deployed" thread.

Once we reach the cut off date for this...we're done.
Beings this is being done through my work...I will have to
find out when this will end.

Have a friend of mine who owns a bar here locally (the one going to the fun jump with me). He is exploring the idea of having a poker tournament to benefit Wounded Warriors Foundation. He assures me it's legal here in Texas as long as the bar does not take a cut. Would like to possibly associate this with The Paratrooper Association. Any ideas/comments/permissions would be appreciated. Format would of course be Texas Hold-em we would be using an APL host as these leagues already exist at the bar.
