    Cool AirborneRecondo

    Hello fellow paratroopers, I am formerly Sgt. Tom P I served with the 82nd Airbonre between 1978-1981. I served with Co. C, 2nd Battalion, 505th Airborne Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division. Looking forward to meeting and chatting with some fellow paratroopers and hopefully meet some fellow paratroopers I served with. Airborne All the Way!!!

    Welcome to the site, Tom. As you can see, I took out your last name, due to our PERSEC restrictions.

    I'm sure someone will come along and ask you where and with what unit you went to basic, jumps school, etc.

    Hi Tom.
    There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live -- did live, from habit that became instinct -- in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized. E. A. Blair
