    Default Rookie Blue

This show is fucking terrible. I just changed the channel. The straw that broke the camel's back was the one two punch of talking a suspect into dropping a gun pointed at a cop while 4 other cops had him at gunpoint and didn't shoot and the woman trapped in the burning car. The stupid cop tries to MacGuyver her out with a jack instead of just putting out a smoldering car fire with an extinguisher.

And it appears to be set in fucking Canada.

    Crap.

About as helpful to our profession as "Flashpoint" has been to SWAT teams. The only cop shows I'll watch are Crime360 and The First 48.

Have you ever watched Manhunters (on A&E)? What are your thoughts on that?

Is that the U.S. Marshalls that run around the NY area primarily?

    Never seen Manhunters.

I do watch Southland. But eventually that will become so ridiculous that it will become unwatchable. Just like Third Watch did in the last season or two.

I watched Southland, but the last episode of last season just pissed me off to the point I was screaming at the TV for the dope addict cop to go help his partner and quit being a faggot.

But at least Southland presents him as all fucked up. Rookie Blue, which is full of Melrose Place rejects in uniform mind you, shows off fucked up cops as the standard. It's not the darker side of the job that is the problem. It's how they present it.

Point made.... but I still say Crime360 and The First 48 are all I watch now. Ever since "the Shield" it seems all anyone wants on screen about us are the fucking rejects and ass clowns who make the rest of us look like crap.

C.O.P.S. is often viewed in my home.

So what your saying is that TV/Hollywood doesn't tell the truth about things..

You think those are bad try EMS related shows, I am waiting for one that is accurate but, since our job is months of shear boredom inturrupted by moments of panic there never will be one. I gave up on Hollywood to ever portray first resonders in a true light and just watch the hot chicks that will never be my partner...

Yeah, I want to see the show where you respond to the elderly woman with dementia home to transport her cause she shit herself on the front porch and the family is fed up with it.

Recently had that old lady but, she shit herself multiple times on the couch over about 8 hours without moving, no AC in the house and about 100 outside...The joys of the job.
