    I linked up with my old AT 2/325 gun jeep driver this weekend, and asked him about coming. He wants to come, and has a virtual shit-pot full o' black rifles and other "interesting" bullet launchers. (Hell, he bent my ear for half an hour just digging through a two-gallon bucket filled with various odd bayonets and other edged goodies.)

    My pard is not a site member mostly becuz he doesn't believe in unsecured communication like the interweb. If he can make it (pending his truck driver work schedule and his health - he's a fully disabled veteran) he'll be a good FOG for folks to meet. I'll try to get him to bring the DPMS .308 at least, but pretty sure a few AR-15s and Soviet-style toys will be in our company.
    We were the kids who would jump off a bridge if our friends did it.

    Some of his best come from when he joined the Reserves some years later and went through training at Fort Sam to be a Psychiatric Specialist. As a SP4 he was Trainee Platoon Guide (or whatever they called it) of a group of multi-service miscreants that wanted to find out what makes crazed GIs tick when the others tock.

    Seriously, can you imagine putting an old parachute infantry fuckup in charge of women and children in a military medical situation?



    Edit: Don't know if his wife is gonna want to come along. She might... her oldest son is a jumping grunt E7 now serving with the 101st after quite a few years with the 82nd, and a couple tours in the sand.
