The 5th Anniversary of The End of Summer Sizzler

Looking for thoughts on:

1. Having Military equipment on scene for a show and tell (IE. military vehicles and such).
2. Inviting local VFW's or American Legion Post to event.

Doc, those are muy cool. What type of steel are you using?

The Amish Blacksmith is making the the acual targets for me, supposed to be hardened steel. I shot alot of different mild plate steel and none of it would hold up to the AR or any of the high powered rifles, even with soft tip ammo so I can't cut that corner. Right now I am playing with different bearing setups, the target does not want to spin out 100 yards too well with the lighter AR bullet...The .270 knocked the damn target over and almost put a hole in the steel...

FOB Chief...same location as 2010 Sizzler.

Thursday: Opening ceremonies.

Friday: pistol-only... warm up/fun shoot at FOB Chief's downhill Range.

Saturday: Shooting Competition, Doug's mom's feast, shooting ceremony (trophies/prizes handed out),
Flag Ceremony, Raffle, and then getting our drink on!

Sunday: Departures begin.

Damn...probably won't me this one either. LOL I'll get to one one of these days!!

Stryker LAV III: 1
Bradley M3: 1
Abrams M1A2: 1
Humvees: 2-3 (including beer truck conversion).

Seriously:
RE #1: equipment would be nice (demilled or Class III "Ma Deuce", RPG-22, surplus Humvee, etc).
RE #2: Personally, I'm conservatively reserved to close-knit TPA/APO gang and personally referred/invited guests, just like it is.
With all due respect (and I mean it) I don't want to alter the majorly Airborne event (with all its wild spirit), taking place right on the Airborne Day.

5) Co-op on ammo, supplies, etc.

We need to work harder on coordinating the events with Association; please make sure Convention will check with Sizzler Commitee (a.k.a. "Sizzlerbureau") first.

Well, it's really unfortunate.
However, I think two events are quite different from each other, so , hopefully, there is not much interference to start with.

Alrighty bitches it's official. The 66th National 82nd Airborne Division Association Convention to be held in Pittsburgh, PA is from August 8-12th!!!!

So MOFOs.....I will be kicking you ass in the pistol and rifle competition next year after all. I'll probably cheat and us optics as well, that way my domination will be complete!!!! MUUUUUUUUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
