    Thursday: Opening ceremonies.

Friday: pistol-only... warm up/fun shoot at FOB Chief's downhill Range.

Saturday: Shooting Competition, Doug's mom's feast, shooting ceremony (trophies/prizes handed out),
Flag Ceremony, Raffle, and then getting our drink on!

As of right now I can say that if I am coming alone I will be showing up Tuesday the 14th (so I can help set up). If I can get an RV again I'll be showing up with the family on the 15th (so I'll have help with helping to set up).
    Bring on the Sizzler

    Brother,
Thoughts and prayers for your safe return and Sizzler-6 partying!
    Rain hell, stay safe!

    Speaking of Sizzler-5: RSVP'd "bell-to-bell".

Also, my AK is classified as "pistol". Is it "green lighted" for FRI fun shoot?
If not, I'll have to work on Barrett pistol...
Someone better spice the day up.

My thoughts about the shooting contest are as follows:

    1. The Range detail of Ferret, ItalyJumper, UCMJ, Ardent Lady, and MasterBlaster all did an OFS job running people through the course,
maintaining Operational Safety at all times, and conducted themselves professionally.

    2. The "Course of Action" was well executed.

    3. The awards were offdahook!

Not wanting to assume anything...But, if the above mentioned personnel want
to still participate in their rolls as the Range detail...the offer stands.

    My wish list...

A bigger range, and IDPA scoot and shoot barriers.

I think we need to take more food and drinks with us...thoughts?

Should there be a "mad minute"?

    Re: the IDPA style thoughts...

I'm not sure at the present range that this would be a good idea. Running a stage like that requires a whole other level of safety considerations. The Matches I have shot in have been on level ground which is well-packed and/or gravelled to reduce the risk of trip hazards and associated acccidental muzzle sweep which could occur in such an event. Those ranges also have berms on three sides. Running a stage like that in the present downhill-sloping field with no berms and the weeds/grass/vines, I just don't think would be a hot idea - but I'm not a safety officer.

It's not that I don't think running a stage for everybody would be fun as hell - it would - but we'd have to be able to do it safely.
As always, this is just my 2 cents.

Besides, Range Master Ferret thinks we need to keep it on the paper first.
