Update:
Brothers/Sisters, this year at the Sizzler we are attempting to reach new heights. One of the plans is to have a formation
of all active duty and veteran attendee's...all wearing their unit head gear.
This will be a great photograph to have and share with others. This will be done at the official opening ceremony.
We are also working on a "Silent Auction". If you have something super cool and Military related that can be sold. Bring it.
The funds raised for the "Silent Auction" will all be donated to The Paratrooper Association.
For the Flag burning ceremony. A possibility of the local VFW "Honor Guard" lending some support.
The VA Representative will also be there. If you have any questions, need help, or just want to talk. She has
expressed her desire to attend, and be available for us.
As a reminder for those who have already volunteered equipment, or anyone else willing to help. We want to
have an Official memorial for our APO members who have gone to get their seat at the big table. sound off
if you want to help.
We need:
rifle w/bayonet
helmet
boots.
A Pic of brothers Big John, LZ NorthPole, and GreenBeret1631. Something we can put in a frame on a table.
If someone was close to these brothers, and can email me a one page summary of the man...please pm
me. We want to have the pics and summaries on a table by the memorial.
Some have already volunteered this equipment. If their equipment is still available. Than we are good. This is more or
less a reminder. Please help if you can.

I hate to say this, but it's not looking good for my attendance at the sizzler this year either. I only mention this so that you can make other provisions for the items I am on the hook to bring.
It's possible that I will be able to make it, but my situation evolves and I just can't say with enough certainty that such will be the case and I don't want to leave you in the lurch! The uncertainty sucks, but like every other paratrooper, I've learned to embrace the suck. I don't love it, but I can embrace it.
So know that I'll be there if possible even though it looks doubtful at the moment. The matter is out of my hands. Xin loi...
