Im working on it but honestly getting myself pulled out of the ING and transferred to this new unit is my main priority.

All,

I am Prior Service (Regular Army) living in Columbus, GA and am HIGHLY interested in joining the NG and being assigned to C/LRS Troop 3/108th CAV / H Co 121st INF LRS.

Does anyone have a contact that they would be willing to pass along?

My PT is still decent (300+), I'm ABN qualified, 115 GT, and hold a Secret Clearance. I am a team player and my SA is well developed and thorough.

Here's my question. Is C co 3-108th on jump status? I'm living in GA again, I've been out of the service for a couple of years and I'm toying with the idea of trying out the NG. Of course if I do give it a shot I'd MUCH rather be in an ABN unit. All well and good these guys are a LRS unit but do they jump?

If your 22, you better get there as soon as you can, it gets harder every year after twenty.

I have not read all of this thread, so I don't know if this has already been mentioned. Just go to your C.O. and tell him you want to go to Ranger or Recondo school as soon as possible. Ask him to arrange it through channels for you.

Of course, I am basing this advise from the time when we rode dinosaurs on patrol and gunpowder had yet to be invented.

Good luck, if you really want it, you will find a way. Careful what you wish for though, you might just get it.

I just moved down here last August. It's a pretty nice little place. The local tech college has an aviation maintenance program which is what drew me here.
