Yes Stanton is the # 1 reference to all the LRRP,, LRP & RGR units that served in Vietnam, primarily due to him giving each unit an equal amount of exposure and I liked his Overviews at the end of each units chapter (see pg 227) ! I met Kenn Miller this pass summer during the Ranger Rendevous which I had a round trip plane ticket to spend two days there with about a dozen close War Brothers and about 3 days before the event began I was sent a message from a former President of our Parent unit the 75th Ranger Regiment Assoc. http://www.75thrra.org/ not to be confused with the active 75RR.
As many of you know who have been in the LRS section long enough I did a short novel titled The True Story of all the LRRP Etc in Vietnam and in there I explained about the Request for the Ranger Tab etc. NOTE: I COULD NOT DO A SPELL CHECK, I'M SORR BUT IT'S NOT THAT BAD!

Well the msg I was sent or it was forwarded to me was from Kenn Miller and it contained 5 thick documents and basically it stated that him and several other members wanted the members to look over these documents since his group has decided that they want to request the Ranger Tab (where was you in 1993?) So when I downloaded and opened the documents guess what 4 out of the five contained...ALL of my research and development files and it was a total mess. Then as I was browsing along up POPS a copy of my personal Award orders followed by 2 more War brothers Personal Award orders......Well I was getting some msgs then I sent out my LIST msg to all my trusted RGR Bros and gave them a copy of his masg and one of them trusted bros put it on the international RANGER E-MAIL Network.....which means there are now thousands of RGR's following this event (I did not know this till a few days later). I actually enjoyed listening to Kenn Miller and he was far more a warrior than all the other Book writers(BW) from tehe 101st COMBINED, since Kenn was with the LRRP, LRP and L/75 had over 70 missions, was educated and never appeared to be on an ego trip or nobody called his bluff which happened to at least one of the BW.

So I treated him with the respect I felt he deserved and I responded to his messag and then I seen a list of who was on his team a couple old timers, BW's and the VP from my unit The SOB gave him all those records....now I was pissed so I basically told Kenn that I appreciate your endeavors however, I never gave you permission to use my files and records and I neer gave you nor will I ever give you a copy of my own or my brothers personal awards orders and I want Your word that they will be removed forever. However, I will allow you to use my documents unless I feel you are misusing them and I added a little history about how and where the documents came and also told him they were not in order at all ///If you have any questions etc etc Out Here.

Fast forward I had to cancel my flight to Benning and set up a TOC to be prepared to do battle had I left I could ever have defenfed myself and all I worked for, I started gwetting messages (however I put my return e mail as my spare) so they did not interfere with all that was gone on . The present Pres of hte 75th RRA and about 4 former Pres who I have known and could trust were sending me all the info going through the net so I told them lets have 1 man and me coordinating between each other and HE will be your POC since I needed to relate to the BW's and the end result was the SAT meeting nad the Miller group showed up after I gave all of them a history lesson about the Tab...and tried to tell the entire Assoc that they wanted their support since they had a special idea on how to approach the Tab issue....The last msg I got from my POC was the President told The Miller Crew Not no but FUCK NO, you want to try and throw some of that BW stuff around here your wrong and we have no nentins of seeking the TAB, however, if we did Joey Welsh woul Lead the Way for this Organization and let me finish by saying YOU have done nothing for or with this org in the past 10 years and if you do not get more involved your membership will be pulled...True Story and a hell of a week but Kenn and I never once got out of control it was just msg after msg. At one point he asked if GL could contact me I said no Kenn I will deal only with you..in fact we kept in touch for a few months after that and then it died out. As I said I respected Kenn and I still do plus he treated me with equal respect....I told him it will not fly now Kenn and tried to warn him but I imagine all the peer pressure made him go into that meeting nad they got their answer....Kenn Miller is a true LRPER and a GOOD MAN!
